 BLESSING BOX

A free pantry that is intended to serve the needs of our community. Anyone in need may come and help themselves to a "blessing" of food or other essential items. They may also leave prayer requests inside.

 CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Through our yearly “Christmas in July” collection, and the packing of gift-filled shoeboxes, First Baptist participates in, and promotes the mission of Operation Christmas Child to share the love of Jesus with children around the world.

 THE EASTER BASKET PROJECT

For almost 20 years, the Easter Basket Project has provided Easter baskets for children in need throughout the Greater Cleveland Area. Originally started in the home of the Rev. Bobbie Davis-Newhouse, the project was moved to various churches through the years, and now finds its home here at First Baptist. Churches and organizations across greater Cleveland donate time, goods and money to serve children in a variety of settings: MetroHealth, Rainbow Babies & Children, the Domestic Violence Center, Ronald McDonald House, The Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, and Southeast Clergy Hunger Center.

 ANGEL TREE

The Angel Tree provides Christmas gifts (toys, clothing, food & gift cards) for a family in need from Glendale Elementary.

 GLENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL

We are pleased to serve the children and community of Glendale Primary School in a variety of ways. These include: Angel Tree; Mitten Tree (warm winter gloves, hats, and scarves for students); Spring Art Show (student art work displayed in our Narthex).

 Murtis Taylor HUMAN Services SYSTEM

The Cleveland Baptist Association in collaboration with Murtis Taylor Human Services System (MTHSS), has made available to CBA member churches and their communities a self-referral program and resources to assist persons struggling with mental health, substance abuse disorders, and various wrap-around service needs.
